Our Founder's Story

Leeza Collins
Founder & Executive Director

Leeza Collins found herself at a crossroads when her beloved grandmother, Grace, who had raised her since childhood, was facing the challenges of aging alone. Like many seniors, Grace valued her independence but struggled with daily tasks that most take for granted.

Leeza watched as her grandmother's world gradually shrank - from missed medication doses to lonely days without meaningful conversation. The breaking point came when Grace fell in her home and lay undiscovered for hours. That moment ignited a fire in Leeza's heart.

"I realized that what my grandmother needed wasn't just assistance," Leeza recalls. "She needed someone who saw her not as a patient or a burden, but as a person with a rich history, wisdom to share, and dignity worth protecting."

What began as personal care for her grandmother soon expanded to helping other seniors in their community. Leeza saw firsthand how small acts of kindness - a shared meal, a listening ear, a helping hand - could transform lives.

What started with helping a few seniors from the neighborhood has grown into Grace Senior Solutions, serving seniors across Central Texas. Named in honor of her grandmother, our organization carries forward the same principles that guided Leeza's personal care: compassion, dignity, and meaningful connection.

We understand that aging brings unique challenges, but we believe it also brings unique opportunities. Our approach goes beyond basic care to focus on what truly matters: preserving independence, fostering community, and nurturing the human spirit.
